Since 1990, Jealous Fruits has been growing a wide variety of cherries now totalling over 1,000 acres throughout the Thompson-Okanagan. We have seasonal job opportunities every summer, employing Canadians and visitors from around the world.

Earn a Competitive Wage with One of the Longest Picking Seasons in the Okanagan Valley
Earn a competitive wage while helping us pick, pack, and ship our cherries around the globe. Our harvest season runs from early July to late August or early September (6-8 weeks). Because of the scale of our operations, we are able to offer one of the longest picking seasons in the Okanagan Valley.

If you're interested in traveling to BC to pick cherries for the summer, we invite you to join us for an unforgettable experience. Our seasonal positions offer the opportunity to work alongside people from around the world, all while enjoying the beautiful Okanagan Valley. Backpackers can work with us from approximately July 20 to August 31, and we offer competitive wages, training and support, and a positive work environment.

We Offer Comfortable Living Facilities for Staff
We offer comfortable facilities that include shaded camping areas for our BackPackers with space for tenting , trailers or vans – whichever you prefer. We provide common kitchen areas, hot showers, private toilets and laundry facilities. We welcome Backpackers from across Canada or through the Working Holiday Visa program or other work permits for traveling visitors. Temporary Foreign Worker
We hire many Temporary Foreign Workers through participation in the Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program (SAWP) with Mexico and Jamaica. We also bring in workers under the Agricutlural Stream Program for workers from Guatemala, Mexico, Jamaica, Peru, South Africa and other countries.
