Our highly anticipated 2026 cherry season is right around the corner! At Jealous Fruits, our orchards are buzzing with preparation as we count down the final weeks before our harvest begins at the end of June.

Start Date and Early Season
This year, development across the Pacific Northwest is tracking about a week early. This early start positions our first variety, Suite Note, for harvest between June 25th and July 5th. True to form, this block is tracking beautifully toward a size peak of 9 and 9 ½ row. Limited volumes of Santina, Vans and Sylvia will follow follow Suite Note.
By July 5th, our Kordia blocks will take center stage. Running through July 14th, these trees are yielding excellent fruit sizing, with expectations firmly set on a 9½ row peak.

Regina harvest starts mid-July starting at lake level and following the ripening fruit uphill over 3½ weeks, eventually reaching our highest blocks at 2,300 feet of elevation. progressing up to 2300 feet elevation. Through careful canopy management, we always push our Reginas to hit premium, large-size profiles, and the 2026 fruit is right on target.
Our Main Season Varieties
Concurrent with Regina, by mid-July we begin rolling into our core varieties,
progressing from Lapin, to Skeena, to Sweetheart, to Staccato, to Sentennial;
and then wrapping the season with Sovereigns from our higher elevation sites.
In tandem with the Regina harvest, mid-July marks the arrival of our core varieties, starting with Lapins and Skeenas, transitioning into Sweethearts and Staccatos, to Sentennials, and finally finishing the year with late-ripening Sovereigns.

Achieving world-class firmness and sugar requires careful crop load balancing. Our blocks are maintaining an optimal density of 7 to 8 tons per acre. This specific window represents our sweet spot—giving each cherry the exact nutrients and sunlight required to maximize its quality.
Late Summer Supplies
Based on bloom dates and degree days to date, we are still forecasting that 80% of our crop this season will ripen from July 15th onward. Approximately 60% of our crop will be harvested in August across the Staccato, Sentennial, Sweetheart, and Sovereign varieties.
Looking Forward To A Quality-Packed Season
We are proud of the crop we are growing for 2026 and look forward to delivering premium cherries to our valued partners around the world.
